OUR PROGRAM – Copperstone Bernedoodles

OUR PROGRAM

Our program begins in our home. Home not only as a birthplace and shelter but home as a concept, that feeling of love and safety that all pups need to mature into full capacity. Yes, we utilize time-tested growth strategies like early neurological stimulation, exposure therapy and sensorial activities, but more than that we strive to raise puppies who understand that life is simple: love and be loved.

To love and be loved is the superpower of dogs. It is an amazing gift they give to humanity and it is our mission here at Copperstone Bernedoodles to unlock this potential to the fullest.
Our puppies are raised to be relationship driven and eager to please. We also start training from a young age so that there is as little stress as possible as our families adjust to a puppy in the home. We start potty training around three weeks old and basic command training at seven weeks. We expose our pups to many things from leashes to dishwashers, children, other dogs, bath time and blenders.
A unique aspect to our program is our desire to build community within our adopting families. It only took me a couple litters to realize that these families really connected with each other and wanted to stay in touch as the puppies grew. We absolutely loved seeing this and wanted to take steps to encourage these friendships forming across state lines. By only taking on a limited number of litters, this is something we can offer our families: a personal experience with us and with their littermate families.
Every pup is professionally evaluated by our vet through a wellness exam and given their first round of vaccinations. We also microchip the puppies unless specified by the owner that they would not like this done.
Our puppies are fed daily vitamins and probiotics in addition to Wellness Complete Health dog food. When they are ready for their big day, going HOME, we send each puppy with a package full of things to help with a smooth transition: a baggie of puppy food, training treats and a sample probiotic, a blanket that smells like mom, a packet of information on how to care for your pup, their vet records booklet, a two-year genetic health guarantee (including hips, eyes and elbows) and a lifetime of support!
Are you located far from Michigan? No problem. We offer a flight nanny service for anywhere in the United States. The fee varies between $525-$650 depending on region and airport. We do not ship puppies.

Additional Information

Our puppies are sold with a strict spay/neuter contract although this can be delayed until 14 months for the health of the dog.
We remove all dew claws.
While we prefer our puppies to leave around 8 weeks old, we know sometimes things come up. If you cannot get your puppy right away, we offer limited extended stay for $25 per day and an additional $100 if we need to get your puppy vaccinated for his/her second round.
